About Us
In 1955, the Freemasons in Framingham, Middlesex Lodge (EST. 1795) and Alpha Lodge (EST. 1875) decided that joining forces with Orient Chapter of Eastern Star they would build their forever home in the form of 404 Concord Street. Together they gathered donations from all three groups in the amount of $40,000. In 1955 a gallon of gasoline cost 29 cents, fast forward to 2023, well you know what a gallon of gasoline costs today (2023) and those $40,000 equate to about $392,000. Our “ancient” brethren we serious in their investment for our benefit!
What is Freemasonry?
Freemasonry is the oldest fraternal organization. The Grand Lodge of Massachusetts was chartered in 1733.
Freemasonry in general seeks to unite men of all racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, geographic, academic and professional backgrounds. And seeks to provide a strong fraternal experience to all its brothers, families, friends and community by supporting, imparting and nurturing various improvement, growth and enrichment experiences.
With the primary goal being the desire to improve character among themselves, and contribute to the betterment of the surrounding community, Freemasonry is proud of its philosophy and practice of “making good men better.”
Freemasonry is always looking for men of good moral character interested in contributing to the surrounding community, through the oldest and most respected fraternity in the world.
